The CPQ Solution Architect leads conversations with our clients to translate their business strategy to functional and technical requirements and analyze and re-architect business process workflows. The CPQ Solution Architect works our clients across Europe and supports the further growth of our business in Europe.

What you will be doing at CommerceCX

  • Lead digital transformation conversations with stakeholders- both technical and functional to analyze and re-architect business process workflows. You have your own point of view, challenging the status-quo with an intent to do what’s right for the client.
  • Understand business processes quickly, recognize and articulate solutions that can be bucketed into quick wins, mid-term solutions and a long-term viable architecture.
  • Create, present, and validate functional designs including data analysis to business team, and gather feedback to influence the overall solution design and approach.
  • Be recognized as a functional expert in at least two Quote-to-Cash business areas (CPQ, CLM, Order Management, Billing and Rebates, or CRM).
  • Perform hands-on solution design, solution architectures, architecture roadmaps, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, and development tasks as required in support of current and new projects.
  • Accountable for the timely delivery of projects as per established roadmaps by working closely with the business teams and the CommerceCX project teams.
  • Running workshops and collaborating with developers, product managers, subject matter experts, and users to communicate the proposed solution vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance needs and solution feasibility.
  • Ensures our client solution is scalable, adheres to best practices and meets overall business requirements.
  • Develop and present approaches to integrate Salesforce or Apttus with ERP systems (SAP, Dynamics 365, Oracle EBS, etc.) and other external applications.
  • Work with our technical teams in Europe, the US and India in solution design and implementation.
  • Mentor and supervise developers.
  • Identify problem areas and identify causes of problems and suggest actions for solving them.
  • Work with product designers and contribute to a best-in-class user experience.
  • Create and/or contribute to technical and functional documentation such as detailed architectural and system design documents.
  • Participate in project/sprint planning, status, and review meetings.
  • Lead peer reviews and evaluate designs and project activities for compliance with applications design and development guidelines and standards.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software applications design organization.
  • Participate in pre-sales activities and internal initiatives as required.
  • Participate in CommerceCX internal Strategy, Vision and Roadmap initiatives as required.

What we require of you

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience as a team member of successful software project implementations related to Quote-to-Cash, CRM, or ERP.
  • Salesforce and/or Microsoft Dynamics Platform experience.
  • Proven experience with creation of relevant documentation including, but not limited to Salesforce CPQ and/or Apttus QTC solution design and requirements documentation.
  • Experience in hands-on design, prototyping, development, configurations, testing and other implementation activities.
  • Ability to lead both the business and functional resource teams to understand and analyze business requirements and define functional requirements.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills especially in a business environment.
  • Strong client negotiation and demonstrated consulting skills with the ability to influence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross-functional and cross-vendor teams and deliver to aggressive timelines.
  • Ability to use and manage Agile collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Mural, Slack, RTC, Trello, Whitewater tools) in a project environment.
  • Preferred – deep understanding of web, database, and object-oriented software technologies, and salesforce.com/ force.com.
  • Ability to set the standard and pace of work on a project and lead team members in execution of Solution design and development tasks at various levels.
  • You have an EU nationality (or EU working permit or residence permit);
  • Bachelors or Masters degree;
  • Fluent in English;
